Today, Fluves spans over 15 countries across 4 continents. The Belgian specialist is a key part of the service delivery pillar of the Virya Energy group.

The company manages the flow of pipelines, industrial assets, sewers, and rivers through its expertise in predictive maintenance monitoring utilizing fiber optic sensing technology. This innovative approach enables Fluves to detect failures with unique precision, extending the lifetime of various assets without any downtime. With advanced monitoring technology and real-time insights, Fluves empowers clients to make well-informed decisions, proactively prevents disruptions, and ensures the seamless operation of critical infrastructure. By strategically connecting fiber optics to the asset, Fluves offers specialized services such as leak and corrosion detection using Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) and Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) devices.


We’re looking for a technical skilled sales passionate, to boost our sales in (petro-)chemical, oil and gas and renewable markets. The Technical sales lead is responsible for learning and selling current products and new products, keeping abreast of new technologies, recommending/sharing changes and trends seen in the field and meeting sales goals in targeted international markets (US and Middle-East). He/she develops sales plans and forecast to identify and produce a steady pipeline of prospects. He/she stays current on market developments, industry trends and competitor activity. He/she partners with internal technical and marketing teams to utilize customer insights and market intelligence to contribute to the roadmap.

Main responsibilities of the technical sales lead will include:

  • Develops and services assigned territory, including geographic region proposed. Focus regions are US and Middle-East region, with frequent travels with distributor sales representatives as well as travels alone to visit end user customers.
  • Creating, updating and implementing a strategic sales plan for the focus regions that will be created in close collaboration with the management.
  • Active participation in defining the pricing strategy for the different products. Taking the lead in identifying and prioritizing the most relevant business opportunities.
  • Contribution to prospection & pre-sales activities and taking the lead in customer meetings and follow up.
  • Creating and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline for your products.
  • Management of the local sales reps in the different countries in the future.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the product in the market.
  • Provide technical direction and support to the development team.
  • Ensure technical feasibility and alignment with the overall product strategy.
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept through to launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between different departments to align on product goals and timelines.
  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy in alignment with company goals.
  • Management of the local sales reps in the different countries in the future.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the product’s future direction and major milestones.
  • Attends industry and distributor trade shows.
  • Prepare tenders for clients in collaboration with colleagues and management.

Job requirements

  • Master degree or any five years of academic degree, by preference an engineering or Business Administration background.
  • Technical profile with a proven track-record in sales management for industrial clients, by preference in energy related infrastructure (including Oil, Gas, Petrochemical industry)
  • Passionate about sales & marketing with at least 2-5 years of sales experience in a technical environment, by preference the oil, gas, petrochemical or renewables energy market.
  • You are fluent in English, both verbal and written. You master both verbal and written, one extra language of the following: Dutch, French or German,. You have strong writing and presentation skills.
  • You demonstrate a high level of initiative, motivation and autonomy.
  • You have a natural sales flair with great communication skills
  • Current residence is in the EU or US/Canada
  • Willing to travel frequently for multiple days to weeks, mainly to US/Canada and Middle-East countries.
